Best Bluetooth Speakers Under Rs.2000 – Detailed Review
1. boAt Stone 600
The boAt Stone 600 is your ideal choice if you want to spend the money on a Bluetooth speaker that could be considered high-quality in this budget.
boAt Stone 600 offers everything you can expect from a high-quality portable speaker. It has great battery life, amazing build quality and most importantly a superb sound quality for the price.
Enough with the praises, let’s have a detailed look at the speaker, its pros and cons.
When boAt decided to make a durable speaker on a budget, they really made full justice to it. The Stone 600 is one of the best well built and solid Bluetooth speaker you can get in the Rs.2,000 price bracket.
The most exciting thing about this speaker is, it is developed for outdoor as well as indoor activities. It can endure through heavy splashing of rain even if water is poured at high pressure.
Keeping the speaker safe from water and dust is a discrete round flap that covers the aux input, micro USB port and power button. This flap is one of the main reasons why the Stone 600 is able to receive its IPX6 waterproof and shockproof certification.
Now, let’s check what this speaker has to offer on the design front. On the longer side, the boAt Stone 600 has five buttons. You will find buttons which function for the volume down/up, pause/play and Bluetooth pairing. On the bottom right-hand edge of the speaker grill, it has an LED indicator which tells you when the speaker is in pairing mode.
When it comes the sound quality, the boAt Stone 600 stands out from the rest with its loud and bass-heavy sound output. The dynamic dual 40 mm drivers pack a punch of true bass like no other speakers in this list, delivering a rhythmic response to even the most demanding tracks. It offers a wide frequency range of 40Hz-20kHz so you can experience almost all of the sub-bass sounds without losing much. ( But Portronics POSH and Portronics Dome has better frequency range)
This speaker is louder than you expect from a budget Bluetooth speaker in this price range, thanks to the pair of 5 Watts speaker drivers inside. If you are a bass-head and looking for a portable speaker with good bass and loudness, you will be really pleased with these value for money speakers from boAt.
As far as connection goes boAt claims this speaker has a range of 30 feet or 9 meters. The Bluetooth 4.0 is enough for connecting any Bluetooth devices for an uninterrupted playback.
When your smartphone is connected, you can also answer/end calls directly from the speaker. It comes with an easy click on controls for your music. Control volume by Volume +/- button and you can change tracks by clicking on next and previous buttons. Additionally, for non-Bluetooth devices, you can use the 3.5mm cable AUX-IN jack which comes with the box.
boAt claims that the Stone 600 will get you around 8 hours of constant playback, but does specify that it depends on the volume and audio content. Still, playing songs at max volume still be able to squeeze at least 7 hours of playback time out of this speaker.
The battery backup is not the best on this list, but still, this is more than what you can expect from a budget portable speaker considering its louder sound and competitive price tag.
2. Portronics POSH
Portronics POSH is our runner-up pick for the best Bluetooth speaker under Rs.2,000. It comes with 6-watt dual driver speakers, IPX4 water resistance, 6 hours of playback time and great sound quality.
Apart from its beautiful design, it has an LED battery level indicator which is a feature we don’t see in speakers at this price point.
Let’s dive into the detailed review of it.
Portronics POSH is made of high-quality plastic which gives a leatherette finish with an anti-skid texture for better grip in the hand.
Portronics claims that the speaker is IPX4 water resistant which means it can handle a few splashes or drops of water, even though you can’t dip it into a pool of water.
This water resistance certification will ensure its protection against water splashes on your outdoor adventures.
The speaker has five different buttons, all of them are multifunctional. For example, next and previous buttons also act as volume up and volume down when long pressed (unfortunately, it may become annoying to some people).
The POSH is very lightweight and its small size makes this speaker easy to toss into a bag and take with you wherever you go.
When it comes to the battery backup, this Bluetooth speaker offers a playback time of up to 6 hours which is not that impressive as compared to our top pick, the boAt Stone 600. Most other speakers on our list offer better battery backup than the POSH.
But the LED indicator is a unique feature which really helps to find out how much battery life is left on the speaker.
Like any other speakers on this list, Portronics POSH has two connectivity options including Bluetooth and AUX cable.
Connecting this speaker via Bluetooth doesn’t take too many efforts as well. Portronics POSH can also be connected to a PC via micro USB cable so that it can be played as a USB audio device.
The speaker has a pair of 3-watts audio drivers which can produce enough sound that can fill a large room or a small outdoor party. It produces sounds that are loud and clear with a quality sub bass output.
The Portronics POSH has an aggressive sound with controlled bass, which is surprisingly good for an affordable outdoor Bluetooth speaker. But, keep in mind that this is not as loud as the boAt Stone 600 because the latter has a better thumping bass output.
Several users of this speaker have pointed out that the speaker moves from its place when bass heavy tracks are played as it lacks some grip at the bottom.
3. Portronics Dome
Portronics Dome is a just another quality Bluetooth speaker from the brand Portronics, which comes with a different style of design, it looks like a turtle shell.
The uniqueness of this budget Bluetooth speaker is its design and surprisingly good sound quality.
Dome features two powerful 5-watt drivers in the front and a passive radiator behind the speaker for great bass sound production.
It also offers a 2000 mAh battery which will give you around 8 hours of playback time, Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and IPX4 splash resistance out of the box. Now, let’s just take a quick look at this unique affordable portable speaker from Portronics.
Portronics Dome has a unique design when compared to other Bluetooth speakers on this list, it looks like a saucer-shaped UFO which is covered with a cotton fabric on top and large volume buttons on it.
The design is ‘inspired’ by the highly popular UE Roll barring the rubberized ring as a nifty addition. The rubberized ring under the speaker can be used as a stand or hang it on a hook, which can go up to 180 degrees of angle.
The large volume buttons on the top of the speaker provide good tactile feedback and it can also be used as the song skip button.
On the back, you will see 2 buttons which are for microphone and on/off, there is no dedicated button for Bluetooth connectivity.
The bottom side of the speaker is made of plastic material, where it features a passive radiator which delivers good bass thumb.
Portronics has managed to make this portable speaker protected from small splashes with IPX4 certification.
Overall, the build quality of the speaker is really good, but not the best in this list. Portronics Dome weighs around 260g which is a little bit heavier than other tiny speakers in this list.
Portronics Dome comes with a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery which guarantees a backup time of around 8 hours. You will get more than 10 hours of playback time if you are using the speaker in 50-60% volume and an AUX cable for connection.
Dome can be connected to your smartphones or laptops with Bluetooth or an AUX cable.
The device is easy to connect via Bluetooth, it also has voice notifications which will let you notified about which connection mode you are in and whether the battery is about to die or not.
You can also attend to your important calls through this speaker as it has a microphone built in.
If you are looking for a Bluetooth speaker under Rs.2000 with the best sound quality, you can definitely go for Portronics Dome.
Dome is one of the best sounding Bluetooth speaker in this list. It produces crystal clear & loud music with a thumping bass.
The dual 5-watt drivers on the front and a big bass radiator in the back is good enough to provide good sound quality and bass from this affordable speaker in India.
You can also use this speaker for watching movies as it has good vocals quality, great bass and treble is amazingly clean and does not sound tinny as well.
Dome is also convenient for outdoor as well indoor uses, thanks to its good build quality, the rubber stand, and IPX4 splashproof rating.
4. boAt Stone 260
The next entry in our list of carefully selected Bluetooth speakers under Rs.2,000 is boAt Stone 260. It is a portable speaker that ditches the usual design format of such a device.
Rather than being shaped like a brick, it has a beautiful discus-shaped (round and tiny) design.
At an asking price of just under Rs.1,500, is this the best affordable Bluetooth speaker you need?
Let’s find out in our detailed review here.
boAt Stone 260 is the funkiest Bluetooth speaker on our list. It has a disc-like design with a fabric mesh covering the top of the speaker while the back side has a hardy, silicon-made rubberised finish. The fabric is printed with funky designs which give this speaker a better look.
It has IPX5 waterproof protection so you don’t have to worry about water splashes which can damage the speaker during outdoor activities. This doesn’t mean that you can submerge it in a pool water but it can resist serious amount of water drops and dust.
boAt Stone 260 is powered by Bluetooth 4.1 transmission for a zero loss audio performance. We didn’t find any issues during the playback and the connection was stable all the time.
The microphone allows us to attend calls during the playback by simply pressing the middle button.
The one thing we don’t like about this speaker is the lack of AUX in port. The connectivity is only through Bluetooth so you won’t be able to connect a non-Bluetooth device with the Stone 260.
The sound quality on these is definitely top-notch considering its size and price. For a tiny Bluetooth speaker it produces amazingly great sound with enough bass and loudness. The frequency range of Stone 260 is 120 Hz – 180 kHz which is better than its competitors JBL GO, Logitech X50 and X100.
When compared to X50 the Stone 260 has better bass but X50 is louder and clearer than the boAt counterpart. Overall sound quality of Stone 260 is superb for the price, this is definitely the best waterproof Bluetooth speaker you can get under Rs.1,500.
boAt Stone 260 is powered by 1,000 mAh battery inside and gives around 5 hours of continuous playback at 100% volume. At 60% volume, it lasted for at least 10 hours during our testings. Clearly, we can say that the battery life of Stone 260 is better than its competitors like the JBL GO and Logitech X100.
5. Logitech X100
For the last few years, Logitech has introduced many high quality outdoor speakers in the Indian market.
There are many Bluetooth speakers out there under the Logitech brand and here we are going to talk about the company’s budget offering which is X100, which was released in 2014.
Logitech X100 is one of the best Bluetooth speakers we can buy in India right now in this price tag. It is a compact, hockey-puck-size wireless speaker that has a built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery and offers decent sound.
The speaker looks like a circular tiffin box and it will quite literally fit in the palm of your hand.
Logitech X100 comes with a little loop on the top that allows you to hang the speaker from a backpack or doorknob or whatever.
The speaker is designed in such a way that the sound is firing from one side of it. It is available in various color options including Orange, Yellow, Dark Grey, and Green.
It comes with four clickable buttons which function for on/off, Bluetooth connectivity, volume up and volume down.
X100 has a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery and offers a 5 hrs of playback time.
Testing revealed that Logitech X100 is able to produce a decent quality of sound, has a louder speaker than another contender in this price category which is JBL GO.
Another great thing about this portable Bluetooth speaker is that it is also able to produce more sub-bass sounds that are missing in the JBL GO.
It is loud enough to fill a room or a small outdoor party with your favorite tracks. But, one major problem it faces is the sound distortion at peak volumes, which is common in most other speakers in this price range.
Connecting your smartphones or laptops with Logitech X100 via Bluetooth is very simple. Just long press the Bluetooth connectivity button on the speaker, wait for the pairing light to start flashing and then connect any Bluetooth device of your choice.
You can also use a 3.5 mm aux cable if you have a non Bluetooth playback device.
It also has a built-in microphone for taking calls while your smartphone is connected to the speaker.
Overall, the Logitech X100 is an impressive portable Bluetooth speaker that offers a lot for the price. It is loud, the build quality is good, produces quality sound and has a built-in microphone.
6. Logitech X50
The next up in our list is Logitech X50 which was released by the company in 2015.
It came as the successor of X100, which is still one of the best selling portable speakers in India.
The major upgrade in X50 from X100 is its sound drivers.
X50 has better sound quality and loudness than its predecessor though it lacks the microphone.
Logitech X50 is built of the high-quality hard plastic material which will ensure you the best durability even when used in outdoor conditions.
The circularly shaped grill is also made of plastic where the driver is positioned inside it. The speaker comes in different color options with gray, yellow, orange or blue so you can pick your favorite color.
It has a little loop on the top that allows you to hang the speaker from a backpack or doorknob or whatever and you can also just lay it flat and have the single driver fire upward, just like the X100.
It is rated as 5 hours of playback time on a single full charge. The speaker can get fully charged within 2 hours and it provides enough juice for playing music up to 5 hours. ( But not the best battery backup you can get for the price)
Logitech X50 has a hassle-free Bluetooth connectivity system which will allow you to connect your devices to this small budget speaker with ease. Connecting it via Bluetooth can be done by simply turning it on, waiting for the pairing light to start flashing, and pairing from the device of your choice.
It also has a 3.5 mm jack so you can connect your device with the speaker with the help of an AUX cable. Logitech claims that X50 has a wireless range of up to 30 feet.
The X50 doesn’t have a microphone built in with the speaker, so you will not be able to attend the phone calls via this speaker. It comes with three buttons which are for volume up, on/off/Bluetooth connectivity and volume down.
X50 performs really well with a louder and clear sound. The bass quality is good for the price and the speaker is very loud to fill in a room or a small party ambiance. The rated output wattage of Logitech X50 is 3 watts and it is loud enough.
7. JBL GO
The next speaker in our list of best Bluetooth speakers under Rs.2000 is JBL GO.
The speaker is very small and compact to fit in the palm of your hand and it has enough punch to fill a bedroom with its quality sound output.
When we talk about the technical details of this speaker, it comes with a 3-watt driver and a 600 mAh battery which can give you up to 5 Hrs of playback time on a full charge.
JBL GO is well built with a rubber finished material and it gives better durability for the speaker.
This ultra-portable speaker is lite weight as it only weighs 132 grams. It can be easily carried in your pocket as it is very small and compact.
JBL GO, which is one of the best portable speakers you can buy under 2000 rupees in India, has a lanyard loop, to enable you to attach a lanyard or a clip, which will allow you to hook it to your bag or fingers and carry it conveniently.
The JBL GO has a simple and minimalistic look with 5 clickable buttons on the one side of its rectangular shape. The 5 buttons are for Power, Bluetooth, Volume Up, Volume Down and the last one is for taking calls. AUX cable port, micro USB port for charging and microphone is on the left adjacent side. On the right side, there is the lanyard loop for attaching a lanyard itself.
With JBL GO you only get around 5 hours of battery backup.
5 hours battery backup is not bad when compared to its portability and tiny size.
When it comes to the sound quality, it performs really well compared to its size. The sound is clear and decent, but don’t expect too much from this little monster.
It delivers very good sound output but it is not a type of speaker you’re going to throw a big party with. Although, you will be really surprised when hearing the loudness and clarity of music that comes out of this tiny wireless speaker.
JBL GO has a frequency range of 180 Hz- 20 kHz which means you will not hear any sub bass sound under 180 Hz. So, you can’t really expect a thumping bass from it.
There are other speakers like Portronics POSH or Logitech X100 you can consider if you are looking for a speaker with better bass and sound loudness.
JBL GO can hold on the Bluetooth connection at a distance up to 3m.
Connecting your smartphone or laptop with JBL GO is a very simple task by just pressing the Bluetooth button on the speaker for the device to be shown on your phone’s Bluetooth connection list.
JBL GO also supports AUX-in, hence you can connect it with any device like smartphone, laptop, or computer to play music or watch videos and movies with more impactful sound.
This budget Bluetooth speaker sports a microphone that has echo-cancellation & noise-cancellation technology which allows you to attend your important calls while listening to music.
8. boAt Stone 200
boAt Stone 200 offers decent build quality and battery backup at an affordable price well under Rs.1,500. It is aimed at those users who are looking for an affordable outdoor Bluetooth speaker. Presented with a more sporty and rugged design, the Stone 200 is easily portable and can be carried with you anywhere.
When it comes to battery backup, these are the best in the business at Rs.1,500 price bracket.
With that said, without further ado, let’s dive into the detailed review of this budget Bluetooth speaker.
The boAt Stone 200 is designed exclusively for outdoor usage. The rugged design is perfect for outside adventures like camping, trekking, hiking or even cycling and it can withstand a fair amount of rough handlings as well. It can be mounted on your bicycle with a port provided on the bottom side of the speaker.
To be precise, this speaker has a waterproof rating of IPX5, which means that it is capable of withstanding blasts of water from all directions or even raining without having to worry about damaging it. Its ruggedized design is also shockproof, which means you can drop it from 10 feet height directly onto concrete and it won’t even scratch.
The sound of the Stone 200 is really good – it gets loud enough to hear but not obnoxiously loud enough to disturb people around you. The sound is clear and crisp with no distortion at all at maximum volume.
The bass quality is not the best that you can get at this price (don’t forget it’s a really tiny speaker, not a car stereo) but you have to be realistic here and adjust your expectations accordingly. We found that this speaker is perfect for hanging in a tent or on your palapa.
Pairing the boAt Stone 200 is not a headache at all. It is easy to connect, although it will give preference to whatever device it was previously paired with.
Unlike the boAt Stone 260, it has an auxiliary port for line input from another device.
boAt Stone 200 offers the best battery life in this price range of Rs.1,500. The 1,500 mAh battery will give you more than 10 hours of playback time at hundred percentage volume. At 60% volume, you can expect much-improved battery backup from this device.

The bass is good as well, which is very rare at this price point. It is louder than most other Bluetooth speakers on this list, though when you increase the volume, like from 80% to 100%, distortions are very observable.
Overall SoundBot SB571 is surely one of the best buy Bluetooth speaker under Rs.2000 price bracket.
10. Portronics SoundPot
Here it comes a cheap and value for money Bluetooth speaker to our list of best Bluetooth speakers under Rs.2,000.
Portronics SoundPot is a tiny little Bluetooth enabled portable mono speaker that really performs like a beast.
It features a 3-watt output mono speaker, a lithium-ion battery which gives 6-8 hours of playback time and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity for better music streaming.
Selling at Rs.1,000 on Amazon and Flipkart, is this the best value for money Bluetooth speaker we can get at this price range?
Let’s find out it with our detailed review.
Portronics SoundPot offers a stylish sleek look, with fully rubberized black finish all over the speaker.
It is tiny so that you can hold the speaker in the palm of your hand with ease. The budget portable speaker is heavier as compared to other tiny speakers on this list, like JBL GO and Logitech X100/X50, it weighs around 180g.
The rubber feet on the bottom of the speaker ensures extra grip on a flat surface as well. Top of the device is larger than bottom side and the one-sided mono speakers taper slightly towards the front.
The interesting thing about this speaker is that it doesn’t have any control buttons on it except on/off button at the bottom.
There is no volume controls and Bluetooth enabling buttons on the speaker which makes this cheap portable speaker completely controlled by the playback device itself.
There is a tiny LED on the rear side of the speaker alerts you with a blink when the unit is charging.

It also features built-in microphone which lets you take phone calls through the speaker itself.
In terms of sound quality, this little monster performs incredibly well when you compare the price you are paying for it. Speaker is loud, treble is good with nice mids and highs, and the bass is also good for the price. Even when compared to the JBL GO which is priced around Rs.1800 this one has louder and quality sound output. One of the major problems of this speaker is that when bass heavy tracks are played, it makes the speaker vibrate a lot but doesn’t affect the sound quality.
Overall, Portronics SoundPot is a tiny portable speaker which is compact and easily portable with good build quality, it doesn’t take too much of your backpack space so you can easily bring this speaker on your travels.
